Poster Session


The main goal is to create a first stone as a starting point for building a bridge between researchers and practitioners, interchanging ideas about research or practical problems presented, which is expected to continue during and after the workshop.



Come to the Workshop and bring your POSTER ! 


Practitioners in Banks, Insurances and other Financial Institutions as well as Academics are encouraged to present their POSTER CONTRIBUTIONS, which will promote the desired interaction and lively discussions on Financial Extreme Values and Extreme Value Theory (EVT) as a practical risk mitigation tool to handle financial risks at work.


Generali Insurance Company offers an award of EUR 500, for the best poster presented at the Workshop by a PhD student or a young  researcher. For further information please visit Generali Prize

Posters to be presented at REV2011 must include the following sections



A concise title

Names and addresses of authors, underlining the name of the author who will be present at the workshop

A short summary of the work presented

Key references

The main body of the poster which can be divided into several sections (e.g., introduction, experimental and/or computational details, figures, results and discussion, conclusion).




Posters display



The posters will be permanently displayed during the entire workshop.

The workshop language is English. The abstract and presentation are to be in English.

There will be an informal poster session on Monday, 6th, after coffee-break in the afternoon, starting at 3:30 p.m.

Posters should be displayed on the panels on the first day, before lunch.

The maximum dimensions of the poster are 80 x 120 cm  (width x height). We provide material to attach the poster.
